Antique Haviland Limoges Ranson Blank Violets Dresser Tray |
|
For your consideration is a beautiful antique dresser tray decorated with violets and brushed with gilt. The bottom is unglazed which is normal among dresser trays. It was made in Limoges France by the Haviland Company this one is a Ranson Blank which was used between 1888-1903. The tray was produced ca. 1894-1903. The pattern is unknown as of this moment, although the research is on going. This would be wonderful as a dresser tray, food service tray or to display barware. It is in very good antique condition, no chips or cracks, just some staining to the bottom and some gilt and transfer loss. It is marked: the marks reads: Haviland France (green) / THE TARASCON Haviland & Co./ J.M.c D & S.Co. Limoges (red). There is also a M or W impressed into the ceramic.
