| Lovely Hand Painted T&V Limoges, France Butter Tub |

| This is a wonderful vintage Limoges Butter Tub. It is decorated with mauve and pink hand painted flowers and green foliage all around the outside. The inside is the beautiful luster wear finish that was so popular in the early 1900's. The rim and handles are gold. It is in very good condition, no chips or cracks and the gold is not worn. There is some residue from a price tag on the inside, but that should be easy enough to remove. The dimensions are approximately: 6" L by 4 1/2" W, the height is 2" not including the handles. It is marked Depose/T&V/Limoges France, which dates this piece c. 1907 - 1919. A similar one is listed in "The Encyclopedia of Limoges" on page 327. This is a very beautiful work of art that would grace any home. |
