| Large & Lovely Ladies Hand Painted Powder Jar |

| This powder jar is just breath taking. It is a forest green color with a very vivid scene of two Victorian ladies lounging in a garden. The detail is exceptional and there is enamel beading for their jewelry. It is in very good condition, but looks as though the green part may have been repainted (see the inside rim?). The mark on this piece AK/D France indicates that the powder jar was produced at the Klingenberg Factory in France c. 1890-1910. It would be great for hairpins and ties, cotton balls or Q-tips, anything that you would like to hide. This elegant piece would make a grand statement in a bathroom, powder room or on a vanity. |
