Description: You are viewing a very large antique brown and white transfer ware pitcher that was imported from England. It was produced by Wedgwood & Co. ( Tunstall, Staffordshire, England) ca. 1882. This lovely pitcher is of the Aesthetic Period. Fruit, leaves flowers and geometric lines grace the transfer pattern that was placed on this Wedgwood jug so long ago. It has two seams and an applied handle. The bottom is impressed Wedgwood CFK (date code for 1882), there are also other letters M, O, T, I. This is a great antique pitcher for display on a table as a centerpiece or on a mantle. You will add English charm to your home with this wonderful antique.
Wedgwood History: Established in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood in Tunstall, England the Staffordshire region. The makers of exceptional decorative and tableware items over the years and they are still in business at this date.
Dimensions: Approximately: 10 3/4" H and 8 1/2: across the widest portion.
Condition: Very Good, There are no chips or cracks to the body, just a few small chips to the foot rim. The pitcher has all over crazing which is to be expected and it adds charm. This beautiful antique English pitcher could be yours to cherish for years to come (see pictures).
