| Flow Blue Plate/Amoy/Davenport c.1844 |

| This is a beautiful Flow Blue plate. It has the blue Amoy/Davenport mark and also the anchor mark impressed 1/Davenport/44 (see photos). This mark indicates that the plate was produced between c.1800 - 1860; and since the anchor impression has a 44, I assume that this plate is c.1844. This plate measures 9" in diameter. This lovely Flow Blue Davenport plate is in good condition, with no cracks, but it has a few flaws. There is one smooth (to the touch, must be very old or original to the plate) chip on the rim, some wear to the high points, some surface scratches, a few particles under the glaze (which must have happened before firing) and all over crazing, which is to be expected for an antique plate. This plate would be a lovely addition to any wall or china cabinet. MP03AS25 |
