| Unique Vintage German Majolica Mill House with Deer Scene Plaque |

| This is a very unique vintage German Majolica Plaque. You usually don’t see them this shape. It has lovely detail and a maple brown border on the rim. It is a great scene of a mill house in the woods next to a stream where one deer is drinking the clear, cool water while the other (a buck) watches cautiously. This piece is unattributed and is pre WWII, made in the early 1900’s (c. 1914-1945). The marks on the reverse read: 3740 B T (impressed) and B & “Made in Germany” in green. There are three stilt marks on the bottom that are dark in color. The plaque measures: 9” by 9”.
Condition: Very Good, a few small flea bites to the maple brown edge. There is one small chip to the bottom foot rim. This vintage piece is a unique and lovely collectible, you will not be disappointed in. |
