| This is a large and very unique cream-colored (Albino) Majolica Maple Leaf serving dish with branch handles. The leaves and branch handles are very realistic looking and the edges of the dish are ruffled. It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, but it does have all over crazing; which is to be expected from an old Majolica piece. This dish would blend wonderfully with other Majolica pieces of any color, or any English Ironstone for that matter. The handled dish is 11 3/4 " L by 8 1/2"W and the height is 2". The mark on the back reads: Spode / Imp? (looks like a letter and a symbol) / England, it is green and under the glaze (see picture). This is a lovely piece. |
