| Vintage English Brass Field Gun & Soldier |

| This is a wonderful vintage brass field gun (cannon) & soldier that was imported from Warrington, England. I believe it to be from the early 1900’s although it might be older. The soldier stands guard in front of his cannon. The cannon (or field gun as it is called in England) and the soldier are attached to the base with screws, which have been replaced). The cannon sits in the wheelbase it is not attached. The brass is lovely, I have polished it the best that I can, but there are some unpolished spots and the base has some pitting. The right wheel is bent outward. These flaws add character and are to be expected from a vintage English piece such as this. This handsome statue would be great on a mantel, shelf or desk. |
