You are viewing a
handsome vintage brass toasting fork that was imported from Italy, it has quite
an elaborate decoration.
The base has a couple dancing in the center of flowers and foliage. Above
them hangs an angels face and wings. The long thin handle is twisted and
transforms into a lovely mermaid with long hair that is holding an upside down
acorn. On the acorn is a handsome lion with curling locks, he is balancing
on one hind leg and holding a scepter with a fleur-de-lis upon it. The
brass has a wonderful patina. It is marked on the back with the impressed
letters: ITAL and --IAGMAN. This is a great vintage Italian brass
work of art that could be used hanging as a decorative piece or would make an
impressive cold cut serving fork or paper weight for your office or
study.
Condition:
Excellent condition, nice patina, but could be polished by the new owner if preferred.
