Description:
You are bidding on a
fantastic old piece of art glass that was produced in and
imported from Italy.
It is made of a satin sky blue glass and the stopper is a high gloss cobalt (even though it looks purple in the photos)
blue. It is artist signed and has the original label. The artists
signature is etched on the bottom: Marcello Purloin 96 (I assume that the 96 is
the year). The label reads: LIP/ Manifattura Del Vetro
(manufacturer of glass) Murano. This is a wonderful collectible piece of
glass work that can be used as a
container for liquids, as a vase or just a decorative art glass accent.
Condition:
Good condition, no
cracks, just one small chip to the top rim (which does not show when the stopper
is on) and a few minute scratches and some marks that could be crayon. .
Approximate
measurements: 6 1/2"
H by 4 1/2" W (at the base)
This
is a truly handsome Italian work of art glass |
