| This is a fantastic vintage New Martinsville Footed Ruby glass cream & sugar set. The pattern is known as "Addie" "Twelve Point" , line # 34, New Martinsville Glass Mfg. Co. in the Collectors Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence. They have wonderful elegant scalloped edging with a ribbed body design set on round pedestal bases. They consist of a very rich ruby color and are c. 1930's.
Dimensions: Cream & Sugar measure approximately 3 1/2"" H by 3" W (across opening, does not include handles).
Condition: Very good, a beautiful precious jewel like set, there are no chips or cracks, just wear to the bottom of the rims and minute bubbles in the glass, which would be normal for a vintage set. There is one manufacturing flaw, a minute (approximately 1/16th") dark spot in the glass of the sugar. It isn't very noticeable unless examined very closely, but I like to mention everything. This is a unique vintage Ruby cream & sugar with a rich jewel color that would look wonderful in your home for display and use. Great to add to your collection of Ruby Red or an elegant pattern to start with. |
