Vintage Lionel Barrymore Gold Foil Etching "Fishing Banks" |
|
For your consideration is another handsome gold foil etching by Lionel Barrymore. This one is titled “Fishing Banks”. I have three others priced separately. It is in very good condition, except for a few wrinkles in the foil caused by the framing process. It is quite an impressive sight in the gold and black frame with black textured matting. 15"L by 13 1/2" W.
About the artist:Lionel Barrymore studied painting in Paris between 1903 and 1907. He attended Art Students League of New York. Even after settling on acting as a career path, he frequently made etchings, composed music and painted at his home in California. Barrymore lived on Long Island during the summers in and around 1917. He lived in Rocky Point, in a little town named St. James.
