| Large Spanish Talavera Majolica Charger |

| This is a very large and handsome hand painted Spanish Majolica (tin glazed) Charger. It has a hand painting of a medieval Knight on horseback with his spear in hand. The detail of this Talavera Charger is amazing; from the muscles of the horse to the knarled tree trunk it is a sensational work of art. I don’t know exactly how old this piece is, but the style and design look very old to me. There are no cracks, but there is a repaired area were the paint and glaze have come off and were repainted ( see bottom right, below horse hoofs).
