| Vintage Currier & Ives Shaving Mug |

| This is a wonderfully detailed Currier & Ives Shaving Mug, signed. It reads “The Homestead in Winter”. It is a lovely light blue and cream color with gold trim on the rim. Shaving mugs were popular in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Men would purchase their own personal mug and leave it at the Barber Shop. The Barber would keep each one carefully on his shelf until the gentleman returned for his shave. This would be great for use and display. Clients have used these types of items to create vintage theme guest bathrooms. The outcome is quite charming. This one is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, it just has a few places where the paint has rubbed off, but it is hardly noticeable.
