| Old Knives /Wood Handles/Leather Sheath |

| This is a handsome old pair of hand made wood handle knives. They are in a leather sheath with a brass or brass-plate tip. The sheath is hand stitched and has a belt loop. There is a very large and heavy curved knife with notches near the handle. The handle has wonderful wood grain and is hand carved with a ring. The small knife is a plain primitive style wood handle. The dimensions are Large: 17" (blade 12", handle 5"), small: 6" (blade 3 1/2, handle 2 1/2). The condition is good, the blade on the large knife has some black residue (see photos), the sheath has a scratch in the leather and a few small age cracks (nothing severe) and the brass tip has that moldy type residue that brass gets with age and some discoloration (I believe it could be cleaned up). This is a handsome and unusual primitive style set that would be an excellent addition to any ones collection. Will not sell to minors. |
