| Wonderful Vintage Cast Iron Boston Terrier Door Stop |

| This is a fantastic vintage cast iron Boston Terrier Doorstop. He is presently silver, but in the past it looks as though he has been red and light blue, because there are remnants of these colors left. A lot of his silver paint is worn off; he has that great vintage patina that can only be acquired with time. He is very heavy and would be great to hold open just about any size door. He is in two pieces that are held together by a screw. The detail is great; you can see the folds on his neck, his muscles and even his ribs. He has an adorable face and pointy ears. He is in good condition, but has rust (see photos). He is approximately 8 2/5” L by 9.5” H. Besides making a good doorstop I think that he would look great on a shelf or mantle standing on a stack of old books. If you are a dog lover, I think this would make a great vintage addition to your home. |
