| Antique/Vintage Porcelain & Brass Handled Mirror Violets |

| This is a very ornate and lovely porcelain back, brass handle beveled mirror. The brass handle has a lovely patina that can only be achieved with time. It is a blown out design of roses and scrolled vines in two portions held together by a brass rim that is held in place by a screw. The mirror is oval and beveled, it has some hazing, brown markings along the edge and a few small black areas. The mirror is backed with a lovely porcelain piece that has lovely transfer ware violets, leaves and vines. It is attributed to Limoges, but the mark would be under the mirror, so it is not visible. It is crazed as to be expected on a vintage piece. The mirror is: 9 ½”L by 3 ½”W. It is in good condition, no chips or cracks, but along with the above mentioned the brass has some dirt deposits and spotting, but I am sure with a good cleaning it would be good as new, but personally, I like it the way it is. This would be a wonderful addition to anyone's vanity or powder room. |
