Vintage Print of Needlework Sampler England "Mary Graham 1812"

Description:  You are viewing a wonderful vintage print of an antique needlework sampler that was produced by Mary Graham at the age of 15.  The vintage print of a needlework sampler is very well done, in the frame under glass it looks like the real thing. The colors are beautiful: salmon pink, golden yellow, brown and plum.  There is a leaf border around the edge, the top row has flowers, birds and hearts.  The next row has a small upper case alphabet.  The next has a  zig-zag and flower design, followed by a large upper case alphabet, the center has flowers in pots, baskets with fruit and two crowns.  Below that is a lower case small alphabet with the" j" missing and the numbers 1-7, flower and vine design and text that reads: Mary Graham Aged Fifteen Years * In The Year of our Lord 1812 (last two digits are lighter in color or faded, but I believe it is 12).  Below the text is another basket and a large beautiful vine with flowers and leaves.  The colors change from dark to light from one side to the other, it looks as though it was planned that way using different colors, but some of the original needlework could have been faded. The print of the needlework is exceptionally done.  The frame is old wood with glass and the style appears to be 1960's-70's.  The paper backing is beautiful, it reads: The Illustrated London News. Vol. XLIII July to Dec. R 1863. Printed and Published by George C. Leighton 198 Strand London.  I believe this lovely piece of art to be a print of a Silk work from England. I have not removed this sampler print from the frame and examined it closer, so it is sold "as is" in the frame.  This is a fantastic print, that looks like a real signed and dated example of needlework that is a wonderful decorative and collectible item.
